Wine Port -or Vinho do Porto in Portuguese- is a generous beverage that dates back to the 16th century. Along with Burgundy and Bordeaux, the wine Port is crowned as one of the European classics. Get to know all the vibrating properties in each variety so that you can marry your dishes with this incredible drink.

Wine Port Tawny Reserve

If you like sweet, fruity wines, you have to try the wine Port Tawny Reserve! It is matured in wooden barrels for 7+ years. The Tawny Reserve keeps part of the sugar present in the local grapes of Douro. Among the most used varieties, the Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto de Cão strains stand out, but there are -at least- 27 more.

The wine Port Tawny is named after the amber colour because of the way it looks and it should always remain standing because it doesn't mature in the bottle -in fact, you should have it in the first 6 months after opening it.

If you want to serve your guests and see them happy and smiling, you can marry it with cheese and chocolate desserts.

WINEMAKING NOTES:

With a lovely colour, given by the ageing in wood, it reveals a dried fruits and raisins aroma. The smoothness and the well balanced on the palate, give us a good idea of the slowly ageing process.
