The mix of almonds, honey and dry fruit can only be described as a gods' delicacy! This explosive and delicious combination has been historically used in different parts of the world to make a traditional, soft, crunchy, aromatic and sublime sweet: turron -also known as nougat.

It all started in the ancient Al-Andalus lands, that means, during the muslin occupation in the Iberian Peninsula. Yet, the trade between the Peninsula with Morocco and other countries of Northern Africa made its expansion possible. Currently, both marzipan and this nougat are made in different regions and its cooking process is based on a tradition that dates back many centuries ago.

An Arabian Peninsula sweet
